Details matter

The decorative and ornamental techniques employed in the glass industry are diverse, but none capture the essence of this ancient craft like glass carving.

The alabastron from the time of King Sargon II of Assyria (720-705 BC) appears to be the earliest known piece decorated with this ancient technique, and it is currently housed in the British Museum in London.
